Is it worth it?

As I was watching the news this morning, I heard something somewhat disturbing. Earlier this week, a human smuggling operation took place from Cuba. While this is nothing new, unfortunately this trip proved fatal to a 6 year old boy. The boat capsized and the little boy drowned. His parents survived, other adults survived including the smugglers. They were all taken to Key West and put into INS custody. Now here is where my problem begins. This morning, the parents of the little boy were "dry footed" and released to relatives. They are free to stay in the US, and will probably gain citizenship or residency (not sure how all that works) in a year. Everyone else on the boat will more than likely sent back, or to Guantanimo. I am thinking the parents of that little boy should be sent to jail. They knowingly put this child in danger, and as a result he lost his life - and now his parents are free? I know the loss of a child must be hard, and no parent should have to live through that, but knowingly putting your child in danger with no repercussion? Some how it just doesn't seem right to me.
More about my week later.....

YANKEES LOSE!!!!!

I got it...no, you got it, no, I got it..ok, neither of us have it!
This play proved to be the beginning of the end for the Yankee's 2005 season. I couldn't be happier! (Sorry Mark and Tanya!) After watching the marathon Houston vs. Atlanta game on Sunday, I turned on the Yankee game to see the Angels fall, but wasn't concerned, I knew they would come out in the end. So my least favorite teams are out, actually it is kind of sad though, no one to root against. I would like to see the ChiSox take it all, but as long as the rest of the games are exciting, I really don't care who wins. Well, it's off to school for me, will post more later!
