Friday's are great!
As I write, it is raining horses and cows, and you can practically watch my grass grow. I am about done with all this wet, sticky, yucky weather. Ok, so it is Friday, and you know what that means..sno cones. Well, not today!! For one reason or another, there is no school today, so I get a break :) I will spend my time wisely by studying for a huge test I have on Monday.
I see on the news that they had to shut down part of Penn Station. It is odd to see that, because the two times I have been to NY, I stayed right across the street from there. I even took the L.I. railroad to see a concert in Hemstead! It was an experience, lots of fun. I am glad to see the stepped up security in NY. These threats are real, and have to be taken seriously. I find it disturbing to read this though: "In Washington, White House spokesman Scott McClellan on Friday repeated the Bush administration's characterization of the terror threat as "of doubtful credibility" even though the threat was specific." This is what is going to get us into trouble, and many innocent people killed. I think our government thinks we are "untouchable", and that our security is the best - yea, right, ok. I am thinking it isn't a matter of if we will ever be attacked again, but more of a question of when and where.
And on that note, Happy Friday all!!
