Another year gone...
As another year comes to a close, I always like to reflect back on the year to see what I have accomplished, what my kids have accomplished and try to set new goals for the new year. 2007 was an interesting year. It flew by. We luckily saw no hurricanes or any other natural disasters in Florida. Health wise it was a good year for me and my family, no major illnesses, no injuries. Career wise nothing really changed. I earned my spot at Southridge as a substitute and really do like it there. I am still at Publix part time too, just a few days a week during the school year. Mike is still working at the JCC coaching baseball, but he was given the opportunity to sign on with a professional league in Israel over the summer. It was a wonderful experience for him. His team went all the way to the championship, never dropping out of first place the entire season, and took the title of the first ever champions of the IBL. He is looking forward to going back again in '08. Zach is doing great in school and has started working as well at Publix as a frontservice clerk. He enjoys earning his own money and sure does know how to save it! I am very proud of both of my boys, they are turning into fine young men!
We lost a lot of great people in '07. Some rich and famous, others a little closer to home. My thoughts are with these families. I've grown a little closer to some, and drifted from others - the natural succession of life I guess. You realize more and more everyday who is important to you and who you can let go a bit.
The holidays were great this year. Mark made it home for Christmas which made it extra special. I know that pleased Mom and Dad more than any gift could have. We all had a good laugh at Thanksgiving when something fairly important was left behind. None of us won the Lottery this year, there is always next year!
I wish everyone a great '08. I am not making any resolutions or promises this year (never really do anyway). I am hoping for happiness, good health, and I wish everyone "enough".
I wish you enough sun to keep your attitude bright no matter how gray the day may appear.
I wish you enough rain to appreciate the sun even more.
I wish you enough happiness to keep your spirit alive and everlasting
I wish you enough pain so that even the smallest of joys in life may appear bigger.
I wish you enough gain to satisfy your wanting.
I wish you enough loss to appreciate all that you possess.
I wish you enough hellos to get you through the final good-bye..
They say, it takes a minute to find a special person, an hour
to appreciate them, a day to love them , but an entire life to forget
them.
HAPPY NEW YEAR!!!!
